Our next shiur will be on Dec. 18, with Raizi Chechik.
For over a decade our Shiur HaChodesh for Women by Women has served to expand opportunities for advanced Judaic studies for women in Kew Gardens Hills and surrounding communities. It is a once monthly session of high-level text-based Torah study by some of the foremost women teachers and professors of Tanach, from both Israel and the United States. Our sessions are held on Wed. evenings at 7:30 P.M. for approximately 1 hour. Light refreshments are served.
The next program will take place on December 10th and will feature Mark McQuilan, Director of Patient Financial Services at NYPQ, who will speak on Medical Bills, Insurance and Patient Experience.
Benefiting the community since 2011, "Navigating the Medical System" presents a monthly lecture on a general medical topic, usually on the second Tuesday of each month from September to June, calendar permitting. The talks are given at the level of the medical consumer. Some of our forthcoming talks will be on stroke and the mobile stroke treatment unit, new methods of radiation therapy, genetics, arrhythmia and transaortic valve replacement, bariatric surgery and nutrition, hypertension and kidney disease, new medications of the past year, arthritis and robotic joint replacement surgery, and infertility.
